This series introduces participants to time-tested skills and techniques that significantly improve any conversation or relationship.
Session 1: Participants learn how harmful habits such as judgment and criticism close our hearts and shut down important conversations.
Session 2: Next we’ll learn how identifying feelings and unmet needs profoundly improves our ability to connect compassionately with others.
Session 3: We’ll explore the power of self-care, and the impact of spiritual practice in caring for ourselves so we can be there for others.
Session 4: Finally, we’ll focus on requests versus demands, how to ask for what we need, and create win-win situations.
Classes are held on zoom, and the text Nonviolent Communication, A Language of Life by Marshall B. Rosenberg is required reading.
