Pause
If you’ve taken a communication class with me, you know that PAUSE is a fundamental component of improved relationships and the first step on the road to less violence and more compassion.
As I continue to work with PAUSE, I discover more & more of what this bit of wisdom has to offer.
PAUSE allows us to listen to another and receive from them
PAUSE helps us clear our minds so we can be open to something new
PAUSE brings relief from the overwhelm of busy-ness and perception of not-enough-time
PAUSE reminds us to drop down into the heart for peace and self-compassion
PAUSE brings us back to the present moment so we can see what’s really happening (compared to catastrophizing)
PAUSE reconnects us with the peace that passes understanding
PAUSE helps us remember our connection to the natural world
PAUSE quiets the ego long enough to hear what the Higher Self has to say
PAUSE allows us to relax physically, adjust chemically, and ground ourselves in Reality where, in actuality, everything’s fine
Some benefits of PAUSE take more practice than others, but any amount can bring relief from whatever the ego-mind is focused on. Give it a try!
